UC's History, Benefits and Management
UC was formed in 1997, it is the largest inter-exchange trading platform in the barter industry, averaging approximately one million dollars of barter transactions per month.
UC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the International Reciprocal Trade Association (IRTA) www.irta.com. IRTA was created in 1979 and is the barter industry's pro-active ethics based trade association that operates 24/7 to provide education, increased awareness, legislative advocacy and industry advisories for its members and the public at large.
Over 100 of the best barter exchanges and corporate trade companies around the globe participate in UC to increase the scope of products and services they can offer their members on trade. Being in UC means you can expand your buying and selling opportunities well beyond the geographic boundaries of your local markets. UC is an important business tool to increase you trade volume and attract more high-end members to your barter organization.
UC is managed by a full-time team of two people, Ron Whitney, Executive Director of IRTA, email@example.com (757) 393-2292, and Patty Weston, UC International Broker and IRTA Project Manager, firstname.lastname@example.org (407) 951-6797.
